TAXI SWIPE CARD

Another first in innovation! Administrative Services Cooperative, Inc and its sister fleets; Fiesta Taxi, LA Yellow Cab, Long Beach Yellow Cab, South Bay Yellow Cab, and United Checker Cab has once again redefined TAXI CABS.

Our cabs now have the ability to accept Swipe Cards! Started in the City of Huntington Park, 2 years ago, followed by the City of South Gate, was initially used primarily for their Senior Programs. This automated system allowed for the much needed modern technology which resulted to saving the City time and money. It also gave their Seniors a sense of security from identity theft and other violent crimes against them. Since then, the City of Lomita and Independence at Home joined the program.

The City of Palos Verdes - PV Transit will soon join the program early 2009 with the leadership of Martin Gombert. Other Cities looking to participate are the City of Paramount.

This technology became very popular that it is now currently used by USC with their student cards.

OLD CAB...NEW CAB....COME TOGETHER!

Our 1922 Vintage Cab and our latest addition the Hybrid Prius came together and joined the Belmont Shore Christmas Party on December 6, 2008, Saturday.



Fun, fun, fun for everyone!

Thousands of people got together on a beautiful Saturday evening on 2nd Street to go see Santa Claus.

What a way to start a new year!

Hello Everyone,

Since August our Seniors have been participating in a Teddy Bear Workshop class, where the seniors design, create and decorate homemade Teddy Bears, Blankets and Stockings filled with donated toothbrushes, floss, and toothpaste and delivered them to Social Services for at risk youth. Last Tuesday we had our “Mission Teddy Bear Drop Off” and Eye on Torrance, a local news channel here did a feature on this program.
